A free comparison worksheet: source first, feeling second.
Three days from The Comparison Journal, free. Comparison is not a character flaw. It is the oldest way a social animal works out where it stands. What changed is the source. These pages write the origin of every comparison down, in the same column, every time: where it came from, upward or downward, and whether you could use it.

What is in the free PDF
- How this journal works. One page on why comparison is information, not a flaw.
- The Standing Position. What comparison has cost you, and the three sources you think are doing it. Fill it in before the first log.
- A worked day. One filled-in evening, showing what up and down mean.
- Three day logs. Day 01 to Day 03, exactly as they appear in the full journal.
Do the opening page before the first log. It takes five minutes, and the logs mean very little without it.
Why only three
The pattern that matters is which sources keep turning up, and whether any of them ever gave you something you could use. Three days is too few to rank them. It is enough to find out whether logging the source is something you will keep doing.
If the three work for you
The full journal carries on from exactly where the sample stops: 30 days, four weekly checkpoints, the Source Table and the Signal Line. It is a printable PDF on Etsy · paperback on Amazon, and the whole Etsy shop is 30% off until 25 October. How the full journal works.
A self-help record, not therapy or treatment. If what you are feeling is closer to persistent low mood, or an eating or body-image difficulty, a GP or a qualified therapist can help in a way a journal cannot. The interior is written and laid out with AI assistance, then reviewed and checked. Quotations are public domain. Free for personal use; please share the link to this page rather than the file.
