Branded journals for teams, from £99.
The practical page: what each option costs, how long it takes, what is actually customised, and how you pay. It starts by saying plainly why this is not a branded notebook, because that is the comparison most buyers make first. The longer argument is on the main page.
We supply guided journals with your company's branding on them. Two ways to buy: a digital team licence from £99 — the same journal as a PDF with your name on the cover, no print run, no minimum, delivered in two working days — or printed copies from 25 at £8–£9.99 each, delivered to one UK address. No VAT to add either way.
Why this and not a notebook
You can have a branded notebook for £2. This is not one, and if a notebook is what you need, buy the notebook. A promotional supplier will put your logo on a blank A5 book at twenty-five copies and it will be very good at being blank. We would lose that comparison on price every time, so it is worth being straight about which product this is.
What you are paying for is the fifty-four pages that are not blank. Each day a person writes down what drained them and what gave something back, scores both, and the page totals it — a Balance for the week, checkpoints that ask one specific question rather than "how are you feeling", and a stated way to judge at the end whether six weeks of it changed anything. The mechanics are sourced and the method is published at /method/, so you can check it before you buy instead of after.
The comparison that makes sense is your wellbeing budget, not your stationery order. An app licence, an EAP seat or a lunchtime workshop is bought per head and used once, if at all. Under ten pounds here buys one person something they write in daily for six weeks and keep afterwards. Against a £2 notebook we are expensive. Against a per-head wellbeing line it is simply a different kind of purchase, and one of the few where what gets written stays with the person who wrote it.
What it costs
| Quantity | Per copy, printed and delivered |
|---|---|
| 25 – 49 copies | £9.99 |
| 50 – 99 copies | £9.00 |
| 100 – 249 copies | £8.00 |
| 250 and over | Quoted |
A 25-copy order is £249.75 delivered, which is the figure to put on a requisition. Guide prices, confirmed on your quote. They include the personalisation, the proof, two rounds of changes and delivery to one UK address. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is chargeable on these prices and none is recoverable on them — the price quoted is the price payable. Above 250 copies we quote a bulk print run instead, which is usually cheaper per copy.
What is actually customised
Four pages carry your name: the cover lock-up, the name plate, a welcome letter signed by a named person at your company — in their voice, or drafted by us from a brief — and a page setting out how you expect the journal to be used.
If you like, each copy can also carry the name of the person it is for, printed on its cover and its name plate, at no extra cost. Send us the list with the order; each name goes on the proof for you to check, and we use the list only to print your copies.
Everything else is identical in every edition — the day logs, the checkpoints, the quotations, the safety page, our imprint line. That is not a limitation we are apologising for. It is what holds the unit price at £8–£9.99 instead of bespoke-design rates, and it is why the journal works: the mechanic is the one we publish for individual readers, not something invented for your order.
No print run: the digital team licence
The same journal as a PDF, with your company's name on the cover, licensed to your organisation. Your people print it at home or fill it in on a tablet. We print nothing, so there is no minimum order and nothing to deliver.
| Licensed for | One-off price |
|---|---|
| Up to 25 people | £99 |
| Up to 100 people | £149 |
| Up to 250 people | £249 |
| More than 250 | Quoted |
What the licence covers. You can share the file with your own staff, up to the number licensed, including on an intranet only they can reach, and each person can print their own copy and keep it. You cannot publish it, share it outside your organisation, or remove our imprint, the safety page or the privacy page. The licence does not expire. Your edition arrives within two working days of payment and of your company name as it should appear. Payment is in full before delivery, by bank transfer, with no VAT to add. The full wording is in our terms of supply.
The trade-off, plainly: a PDF is easier to ignore than a book on someone's desk. If the point is a gift a person keeps, print is the better product. If the point is getting the method to your people without committing to a print run, this is.
How to order
- Send your assets. Your company name as it should appear, a logo as SVG or transparent PNG at 1000px or wider, one brand colour if you want the name-plate rule matched, and welcome letter text with the signer's name and role — or a brief, and we write it.
- We send a proof PDF within two working days. Two rounds of changes are included; further rounds are £45 each.
- A named person at your company approves it in writing. Nothing goes to print before that, and once approved, errors inside the proof are yours — so read it properly. On any order of 100 copies or more we recommend a physical proof copy first, supplied at cost plus postage.
- We arrange printing and delivery to one UK address. Lead time is confirmed on your quote, because it depends on the size of the run; we do not quote a number we cannot hold.
How you pay
Most suppliers bury this. It is simpler to say it here.
A first order is 50% on confirmation, balance before dispatch. Your journals are printed to order with your branding on them and cannot be resold to anyone else, so the deposit covers the print run we commit to on your behalf. Nothing goes to print until it has cleared.
After a first order paid in full and on time, we invoice in full on dispatch, 30 days to pay. A deposit is taken again on any order over £2,000, or where the quantity is more than double your previous largest order. Payment is by bank transfer; we do not take cards.
Nothing written in the journal is reported back to you. It is not monitored, collected or reviewed, no part of it is shared with the employer, and no data reaches us either. Every copy says so in print on its name plate, and no edition ships without that page. A company-issued journal about burnout reads as surveillance unless it states in writing that it is not — so it does.

Two demonstration editions, and a note on how the personalised pages work. Or write directly to kzukas@thejournalfoundryco.co.uk and say what you are thinking about — it reaches one person, and there is no newsletter attached to it.
Work with clients rather than staff? There is a separate practitioner licence for coaches, therapists and occupational-health teams.
